The primary responsibility of the Finance Department is to provide the Mayor and the City Council with timely, accurate, and useful financial information and to maintain the City’s financial records in accordance with the City Charter, State law and generally accepted accounting principles.

The City of Highland Park’s Finance Department is responsible for the following:

  •     Financial Audit
  •     General Ledger/Account Maintenance
  •     Payroll
  •     Pension Administration
  •     Personnel
  •     Purchasing
  •     Risk Management (including worker’s compensation)
  •     Income Tax
